NIce video. Which recording device are you using? I’m thinking about buying the GoPro Hero2.

Any chance you’re doing the Old Goat’s 50-miler in March?

Mykl: this was done using a borrowed GoPro Hero2. I _think_ I like the camera, but I don’t like the way the controls work. My suggestion: set it all to the one button start/stop…otherwise you will end up cycling though menus when all you are trying to do is turn the thing on. And that’s a hassle if you are using it to document a race ’cause it interferes with the race part of things.

Don’t think I will do Old Goats. I’m kinda going easy on racing ’cause I don’t want to lose training time to recovery. I’m signed up for Rocky Road 50 miler, basically as a training run, since a bunch of friends will be down there and my gf is crewing a 100 mile newbie, and then I plan on doing Bishop High Sierra 100K in May. Not sure about anything else…

Tony – good running into you on Hogback Ridge the other morning. Most of the routes on this video are little stretches of singletrack, two of which join up to the trail you and I met on. One of them drops off from Hogback heading south; it dumps you down near the golf course and then you can either climb back up the wide trail to the helipad junction or else go down to the Greek Theater. Another is a short trail that takes off at the little memorial thing right by the bridge at the bottom of Hogback. That takes you up and over and drops you down on the wide trail/path just after the helipad junction. I can’t figure out how to describe where the third of those singletracks is.
